My name is Danilo, I’m 21 years old, from Colombia, a philosophy student. I love art, from painting to acting, writing, making music, even photography and film-making, but most of all drawing since it has always been part of my life.
In the cultural background where I grew up there was no such thing as a meaning in art education so I never studied in any formal way, even though that I never stopped drawing.
Hi everyone! I’m tattoo artist based in London. I’ve been drawing and painting for a 5 years since i got into tattoo society. Art takes place in every aspect of my life. It’s a part of my every day job but also way to express my self and feelings of other people in a tattoo art.

I’m a drawing and sculpture journeyman at an atelier in Porto (Portugal) based of the French academies of the XIX century. I spend my days either drawing from life or sculpting from imagination.
Classical art (drawing in particular) have been my long time pursuit for nearly 3 years, before that I hated drawing and was frustrated by my childish attempts at representing both the human figure or architecture, which has since become my favorite subject in drawing.
I wish to enhance my skill set as an artist with the ability to draw from imagination intuitively as the old masters did and I believe that the construction approach of the Drawing Academy is the way to go. Merging that with my current knowledge of anatomy I hope to be able to work out more complex compositions from imagination that will, consequently, improve my sculpture as well…
My name is Andrea, 24, I’m a self-taught art student living in a little city by the sea in the South of Spain. We don’t have a proper art school here and my family definitely didn’t have the money to send me abroad to study. Nevertheless, I decided to not give up and learn whatever I could by myself.
I’ve always enjoyed drawing and painting more than anything else, it has helped me cope with mental-illness and hardships in life like anything else. Art has that power.
My name is Arentino Lucero and I am 19. I only recently took an interest in art and have found that is is my true passion. I started with drawing portraits and have made decent progress on my own but as I can only draw from photographs, I have met some obstacles. I have trouble drawing from life, accurately drawing figures and am unable to give a sense of life to my artwork. I am very eager to learn how to truly draw, from imagination instead of copying from pictures.

I can fondly remember when my mom gave me Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain…I had to have been 13 or 14. It was a very big deal for us as my parents were immigrants from Germany and we did not have much money, but anything to do with art always came first. It started my dream of creating a masterpiece and one day going to art school.
I wish I still had that book, I’m sure the pages would have been very well worn as I devoured everything I could from it. I can remember my mom critiquing my work and showing me how to change just a simple angle to make something more realistic. My mom is now close to 80 and she paints in watercolours almost ever day…beautiful landscapes.
I am a self thought artist who is passionate about the beauty of nature and our fragile earth. I major in painting landscapes and abstracts also portraiture, seascape and still life. As a self trained artist, it wasn’t easy at first but determination kept me pushing. I started drawing at a tender age and built skills over time. I would spend more time painting while I was in university instead of studying biochemistry. Encouragement from friends, especially family, kept me on track…
