My son

Hi, I am Pushpalatha from Los Angeles, a house wife. I love art and craft, and I keep doing sketches every day whenever I find time. I can sketch or draw whatever I see, but it comes to making artwork from imagination, it is a major challenge for me, and I want to improve my drawing skills…

A new beginning

Hi, my name is Sandra Alina and I graduated as a theater critic in 2005 at the National University of Theater and Cinematographic Art, Field: Dramatic Critics, Bucharest, Romania.

I loved art since I was a little child but I didn’t have the opportunity to study it at a high level although I have a diploma in Fine Arts.

I want to learn how to draw and paint because I don’t have the necessary skills for developing my art and Drawing Academy is what I am looking for…

Keeping the spirit of fine art alive in Estonia

Hello!

My name is Sung, I’m 20 years old and live in Estonia, although I’m half-Korean.

I started drawing when I was a child (about six years old) by copying characters from Japanese anime shows and manga. The characters looked very basic but they had a certain appeal. My family loved my drawings (my mom painted as a hobby, my sister has a bachelors degree in jewellery art), but for some reason, I quit art and drawing completely for over ten years.

I bought a sketchbook and started studying from Andrew Loomis, who teaches the constructive method of drawing. I also started studying anatomy in my spare time (by watching YouTube tutorials and reading/studying from books). This year I found out about your other course, the Anatomy Master Class and I have to say, it has been amazing! It teaches you everything you need to know about how different body parts work so it has been a great guide for me on how to draw the figure from imagination…

Never too late

As an older emerging artist with works reflecting both beliefs and concerns for all sentient beings and as love of the dark and folktales.

Growing up in a middle class family, as a tom boy and my Dad’s fishing buddy, nature was always appreciated. But her love of painting was not encouraged and a profession was demanded; but as the opportunity arrived she returned to her dream of becoming a professional artist. She has recently expanded this to include her grandfathers’ technique of wood-burning with paint…

Passionate Art

Graphic Novel Artist of Nature and People

Hello, I wrote and drew a graphic novel called Rough Waters, and want to improve my drawing skills before going on to another book.

I like nature, and want to depict the wilderness in interesting ways to draw people into stories and to appreciate the animals and plants we have left in remote areas.

While teaching, I lived on the west coast of Canada and other parts of BC. Many places are so beautiful I want to pass that on to others.

The Drawing Academy looks like an excellent way to learn drawing skills when a person is far from a college, and does not have resources to move somewhere else…

Wanting to Draw Portraits!

My name is Kathleen James and when I’m not taking care of all the beautiful people in my life as a wife, mom and nana, I love to draw and paint.

When I was a child, I lived to draw. I was a night owl and though I had to have my light off at bedtime, I would open my curtains and draw by the moonlight just about every night. It was when I was my most creative. That love of drawing carried on until I took an art class as a teen and felt my teacher disliked every thing I created. Unbeknownst to me, she advised my mom to send me to art school…

Nepali Musician

I am a self taught artist with keen passion to learn art since my childhood, but never have a formal lesson due to financial issue & lack of art school close to the village back in Nepal and currently busy schedule in British army.

Most of time I used to fall in love with landscape painting with strange imaginations, but nowadays I am keen to learn anatomy & portrait work. When I see art lesson videos I feel like I am born for this skill but I cannot quit my job. I have to earn to survive and my dream falls apart.

Some of my amateur paintings were generously purchased and I spent on charity work to support school in remote village. If I can have formal lessons, I can develop my skills and it will help to raise some more for good cause as well…
