Old Masters Curriculum

I am an Economist with strong passion for classical figurative arts. I started drawing as a child about 30 years ago. Unfortunately, I was forced to abandon drawing because there were no art schools in my country. In addition, being an artist is not considered a viable career option because many local artists are poor.

I always wanted to improve my drawing skills. Fortunately, the Internet made it possible to study art online. Recently, I started taking online courses to pursue my dream to become a full-time artist. I have made remarkable progress and my drawing skills improved in leaps and bounds. It was a breakthrough and since then I never looked back.

However, I still find that many drawing courses do not teach classical methods of drawing. Compared to many other online art schools, the Drawing Academy course is very comprehensive and teaches fundamental drawing skills with clear step-by-step instruction. The instructors are well trained in classical methods of drawing. The curriculum promotes practical drawing skills.

I wish to win the competition in order to study the old masters curriculum at the Drawing Academy. People should vote for me because I want to introduce and promote the tradition of figurative arts in the Southern African region and across the African continent. I will start by establishing an art academy in Lesotho. This will give many local artists a valuable opportunity to acquire fundamental drawing skills and escape the poverty trap.
