I have been drawing and painting since the moment in my childhood when I found out that art is one of those things that makes my soul much happier.
In 2015, I won the Art Competition and received the full Drawing Academy membership https://drawingacademy.com/inspire-and-change-the-world-with-art.
I found the Drawing Academy course online and immediately signed for it as it is exactly what I needed.
I draw as a hobby and wanted to learn the fundamentals to improve my drawing skills.
I have learned so much from the Drawing Academy course. Now, I feel more confident and will continue learning and practicing more. I also intend to watch the Drawing Academy video lessons again.
With clear video tutorials in the academic course, I was able to gather many new insights and integrate them into my style.
I like the Drawing Academy course, it offers good quality art education I always wanted to receive.
In this course, I have learned a lot about freehand drawing and techniques used by the Old Masters.

My elementary school art teacher paid attention only to those who could already draw and paint. This hurt me; I was overlooked and felt invisible. So, I lived all these years believing that I could not draw or paint. Every time I looked at a painting I found interesting, I felt a desire to be able to create something, anything.
A few years ago, my husband brought me a cherry flower branch that was so beautiful, I immediately sat down and painted it in watercolors. I thought that such a burning desire to paint and such a beautiful subject should result in a beautiful painting. I could not have been more disappointed – it was difficult and as much as I tried, it just got worse. It was clear to me that if I wanted to create a painting that I would be satisfied with, I had to find some help.
I have not drawn for years. Whilst I always wanted to do it, I was lack of confidence and didn’t know how to go about until I came to know your drawing course.
Drawing Academy course provided a structured and comprehensive course on drawing. It laid down a strong foundation for me to further my interest in the subject. Not only that I begin to know more how to appreciate art works but also getting more confidence in my own drawings.
My skills prior to The Drawing Academy were limited due to my lack of understanding of light and shadow and creating a 3 dimensional space on a 2 dimensional platform.
Now I have a better grasp on light and shadow. Creating 3 dimensional space on a 2 dimensional platform utilizing the one, two and 3 point perspectives has increased my level of art.

My name is Abhimanyu and I am from India. I am very passionate about drawing since childhood but due to lack of guidance, I was not able to improve my skills in drawing. As a working professional it is very hard to join a regular college to learn fine arts. I am very lucky that I found one, while searching on google – the Drawing academy, an online course.
I did a deep search on Drawing Academy before joining the course and I found it very interesting, also very convenient to learn. I am working in hospitality industry, so time flexibility is very important to me.

I have found the course not only informative but it has also shown me the reasons for my frustration in my art work, knowing that something was wrong but not knowing exactly what it was and how to correct the mistakes. You have given me the knowledge as well as the confidence that I certainly did not have prior to doing your course. I feel that I have improved in all aspects of my art. When painting I now have the confidence to draw on the canvas with a paint brush and am able to get the drawing in without being terrified of what I was producing.
