Back to my basics
I found the Drawing Academy course online and immediately signed for it as it is exactly what I needed.
I am painting since many years but recently my gallerist told me that I haven’t improved my quality and technique since she took me on board, so I decided to come back to my basics and learn thoroughly the classic technique.
Being honest, I knew I needed to increase my quality of work. I started painting with an art tutor which mainly focused on observation, but no rules where part of the course. I also noticed, with the time I didn’t put much attention on the drawing as I thought that is not the important part of the work, that was a big mistake as the colour value, perspective etc suffered!
Thank you very much for this opportunity and the online course, your teaching is great!
Best regards,
Christine

I think your drawing has made this lady quite personable. The colour also gives character. Could be a 1920’s lady with her beads and wavy hair. Her chin resting on her hand is a typical pose for a Charleston girl. Liked it Christine.
