Greetings to all. I have been painting and drawing for about 40 years on and off. Many years ago I was an aspiring artist and realized early on after showing my pictures in libraries and anywhere I could that I was going to be a hungry boy so I went into the factories and learned the manufacturing trade that paid much better than art.
Becoming an artist has always been my lead dream, I’m not surprised I’m living it now. Every new day opens a door of challenges of which i take on. Of a truth my utmost desire is to express myself with my pencils and to make others see what I see
Hello, I am a 66 year old woman who wants to draw and paint human faces and bodies better. As a watercolor fanatic, I have learned that having a grand drawing is the basis for a delightful watercolor outcome. As a beginning sketch and drawing person, I find that I enjoy making an expressive drawing just on general principle.
Art is one of my forms of therapy – I began painting 16 years ago after suffering a traumatic brain injury in an auto accident. I wanted to learn how to create form with color. Now, I want to create more lovely color forms due to creating a great foundational drawing. I paint from many personal photos of my children and grandchildren. I paint from my life and those scenes that are memorable or inspirational to me – practicing old and learning new techniques along the way.
I am an Instructor of English at the University. I am 42 years old. I have been painting for two months. I started it as a try for a hobby. I am in love with painting. It opened a whole new world for me. I don’t take any classes in art as I don’t manage because of my busy day at the University.
I always paint at night, when I can afford time. I try to learn from online sources, but they are not in correct arrangement and I feel I need an organised course. I want to learn anything in art. Drawing academy fascinated me, because of the openness it explains something. The art pieces discussed are amazing.

I am at the end of my professional medical career, I am a masseur-physiotherapist that I have been practicing for over 40 years in France, where I live, also as “therapeutic art”, even reimbursed by the social security.
Art is essential in my life, I even think it’s a “lifestyle”.
Art is the primary expression of the human being, it is his way of speaking, watching, writing, listening, doing, drawing.

MY DREAM IS STILL ALIVE!!
Hello dear friends. Its Marie once Ange again.
After competing twice and not getting a place into the academy I gave up and vowed to NEVER try again.
However a few days ago a dear friend encouraged me to try once again. I realized that giving up my dream of becoming a world famous artist through the academy’s help would be betraying the trust that hundreds of street children and orphans have placed in me as an artist who give them hope and encouragement as I reach out to them weekly through my art.

I am a mother of five, living on a beautiful island in the Pacific Northwest. Obviously I love art(or I wouldn’t be here!), but more than that, it has allowed me to be not just mother of five, chief cook, washer woman and dog walker.
Pursuing my art over the last 30 years has given me a persona beyond those very important jobs. I admit though, it took me years to say “I am an artist”…it kind of stuck in my throat as though I wasn’t worthy to be included in that realm of creative persons. As a result, I have a passion to help people create and have taught watercolour painting for many years to people who think they are not creative.
How to advise parents of young [under 10] children where to send them for art lessons? I have already told them – they must learn drawing first. However Australia is still in the grip of the expressionists. A look at our premier portrait prize, the Archibald, as well as the rich portrait prize, the Moran, will illustrate this point.
How to advance from the ‘oohs, aahs, aren’t you clever’ of friends and family to works of a professional level of skill, beauty, and elegance?
Drawing for me is my First passion since I was a child, but my parents didn’t let me to study art and I suffered a lot because of that.
I tried to learn art later, but in Italy it is not very easy to find a classical drawing school.
