A meaningful and life-changing art education experience

Graduating from Drawing Academy has been a very meaningful experience for me. This program helped me grow not only as an artist, but also as a more confident and disciplined creative.
The lessons were clear, structured, and focused on real artistic fundamentals, which helped me understand drawing on a much deeper level. I truly appreciate the guidance, knowledge, and support I received throughout my time with them.

The Drawing Academy looks like a solid course with tutors who know the skills of craft, and that is why I would like to get this course. The best thing for me in this course is that I can receive critique on my art. My previous teachers could only tell me “well done” regardless how bad my drawings were. After checking the Drawing Academy articles with critique, I see that the teacher-student communication can be very different. Drawing Academy teachers are not afraid to tell what is wrong with students’ art and how to fix those mistakes. This is exactly what I need at this time – someone who can guide me on my mistakes and teach me how to avoid them.

The human figure has been, and still is, a principal element in visual storytelling and fine arts. However, the naked human figure is not enough to tell a complete story. Because of that, artists have used draperies in their works. Drapery is the depiction of any clothing or textile in fine arts, and it has been used by artists for many more reasons than simply to clothe the figure or to make the artwork beautiful. Many fine artists have dedicated lots of their practice to depicting drapery since it is a showcase of their mastery and skill; however, as you will see, drapery can also carry symbolic meanings to emphasize a message or idea. With that in mind, we will take a look at a few paintings that show the messages drapery can carry.
