Portrait sketches by Ronnie Rayner Larter Compared to how I use to draw, hatching with graphite pencils is relatively new technique to me, one, thanks to the Drawing Academy, I have found interesting. The variety of marks that can be made with this technique is quite amazing and more varied, more lively and more appealing than smudging graphite.
