I am an Instructor of English at the University. I am 42 years old. I have been painting for two months. I started it as a try for a hobby. I am in love with painting. It opened a whole new world for me. I don’t take any classes in art as I don’t manage because of my busy day at the University.

I always paint at night, when I can afford time. I try to learn from online sources, but they are not in correct arrangement and I feel I need an organised course. I want to learn anything in art. Drawing academy fascinated me, because of the openness it explains something. The art pieces discussed are amazing.

I am at the end of my professional medical career, I am a masseur-physiotherapist that I have been practicing for over 40 years in France, where I live, also as “therapeutic art”, even reimbursed by the social security.
Art is essential in my life, I even think it’s a “lifestyle”.

Art is the primary expression of the human being, it is his way of speaking, watching, writing, listening, doing, drawing.

MY DREAM IS STILL ALIVE!!

Hello dear friends. Its Marie once Ange again.

After competing twice and not getting a place into the academy I gave up and vowed to NEVER try again.

However a few days ago a dear friend encouraged me to try once again. I realized that giving up my dream of becoming a world famous artist through the academy’s help would be betraying the trust that hundreds of street children and orphans have placed in me as an artist who give them hope and encouragement as I reach out to them weekly through my art.

I am a mother of five, living on a beautiful island in the Pacific Northwest. Obviously I love art(or I wouldn’t be here!), but more than that, it has allowed me to be not just mother of five, chief cook, washer woman and dog walker.

Pursuing my art over the last 30 years has given me a persona beyond those very important jobs. I admit though, it took me years to say “I am an artist”…it kind of stuck in my throat as though I wasn’t worthy to be included in that realm of creative persons. As a result, I have a passion to help people create and have taught watercolour painting for many years to people who think they are not creative.
