It is my dream to do art and do it good. Like they say ‘life happens’ and I could never fulfill my dream to become an artist. My name is Elma, I am a 63 years and I still believe in my dreams.
Art has always been a part of my life since I was a child. I have loved drawing, painting and doing crafts. I paint with watercolors and acrylics. My favorite subject to paint is Mother Nature and her beauty, I took art classes in junior high and didn’t quite get the perspective and 3-D just right. Ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil, I filled tablets of paper with drawings. My favorite thing to do was draw. Decades later, drawing is still my favorite thing to do.

I like to make portraits of people in a close to classical style. Art is like a meditation for me, I can clear my thoughts. In art my challenge is mainly color, I don’t like to use it and haven’t got very much practice in it. I would like to learn how to create an emotionally compelling piece of art.
