I’m a 56 year old South African female. I never had the chance or opportunity to study art. Before I could read or write, I had a pencil and paper with me wherever I went and would sit and draw. When I went to school, I was drawing portraits of my school friends rather than doing my schoolwork!! I don’t have any particular style of drawing. I basically just start drawing what’s in my mind or what I see. I always wanted to paint but just didn’t know where to start. Finally, in 2009, I built up enough courage with some assistance from Norbert Schling, one of the top South African artists. I purchased some oils and canvass and found my passion in life! I would love to be taught the correct drawing and painting techniques in order to make it possible for me to achieve what I know I am capable of doing once I have the know how…

I am a self taught artist at the age of 26. I have never had the chance to study art. After school, uninformed that art academies exited outside South Africa, I studied graphic designing but did not complete it due to lack of interest.
Growing up in a strict business family, I immediately turned into a entrepreneur to support my wife and child. I started using the internet more and found that there are academies that can actually teach the classical style, which I so called wanted since I could pick up a pencil. So now at the age of 26, it took me 3 years to actually make dramatic move of having a normal life of a business man to an poor artist. It was a risk…

First of all, thank you so much for your inspiring sharing through your free-video lessons and tutorials!! They are absolutely EXCELLENT! and have given me fantastic and clear tips and hints which have enriched my self-instruction tremendously. I can’t imagine how much more one could profit from a complete course and feedback…
I live in PATAGONIA-ARGENTINA, and have just retired (and with the minimum amount). I have drawn and painted off and on throughout the years, during the in-between of a mother’s hectic life. Being a school teacher has never being very rewarding financially, so part of my artistic adventure has been indulging in improvised alchemy discovering economical painting mixes with everyday materials from the house, construction, or collecting beads and fruits for tints or using even coal direct from the fire pit…

My name is Heather Rigby, and I am an artist. I am a 20 years old, and live in the United States. I am on a journey of learning. Ever since I was young, I have had a passion for art. Not only for drawing, but for painting, sculpting, woodworking, and even Art History.
Art is my life, and I long to learn as much as I can about it. I have never had any professional training. I have learned only by observing other artists around me. By viewing fine works of art, and by studying techniques used by successful artists. Even though I have learned much on my journey, I want to learn more. Not only would I be very happy to win free lessons, but I would also be very grateful. It would help me take another step towards becoming the type of artist that I truly want to be. As a very wise man (and my favorite artist) once said, Learning never exhausts the mind. (Leonardo da Vinci) I love to learn, and I long to learn more…

Like everyone else in this world, I too am just trying to struggle through in this life. Well the only inspiration that keeps me moving on and on is My Art. Art is sacred to me. I have had some of the most personal moments because of art. I, Mario Pathaw was born into a Great Catholic family to Mrs. Rosa D. Pathaw and (L) Dr. Pascal Malngiang. Ever since I was a little boy my parents took me to the cathedral every Sundays, and this is how Art came into my life. Every day the Baroque Paintings of the Cathedral seems to talk to me. well they speak more than the sermons of the priests. To some I maybe considered an absent minded child but they don’t understand what I am feeling because they can’t see the Art through my eyes. Even to this very day, i would like to be alone and just stare at these paintings…

Just as the title suggests, art is my love. Ever since I was a little boy, Art is like a guiding light unto my feet. I was born into a Roman Catholic Family and since I was months old, my parents took me to church every Sunday. To this very Day, the baroque paintings in church seems to speak to me more than the sermons. Whenever I feel blue or joyful, I like to be left alone in the cathedral and stare at these paintings, and every time I look at the it feels like it’s the first time. Art has changed my life and kept me on the right track; and there were many personal moments in my life that happened because of Art. I lost my father 1 year ago and to me most of the moments I can ever recall that we had in common is art. Art is the only thing that keeps me moving on, to chase my dreams with integrity…
