I am a retired architect and have enjoyed art my whole career. Prior to my career I enjoyed art as a child and often did drawings of dogs, horses and even street maps. Even back then my parents encouraged me to continue doing art works. Over the years I have acquired watercolor, oil paints and pastels such that many are plus forty years old and still useable.
I drew this from a photo of the neighborhood I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. The “streetcar” (trolley) traveled between downtown to the Mt. Washington section of the city.

Luckily, I saw a video on youtube from Drawing Academy, so I decided to enrolled this course. This course is great, it gives all you need to know about drawing and its tutorials are well organized.

This has some advantages, especially the fact that I have access to a lot of museums where some of the finest flemish old masters art is being kept. One of my preferred places in Antwerp is the Rubens house where Peter Paul Rubens used to live. (rubenshuis.be/en)
