I live in Cortez, CO. I love to paint and draw. As of now it is just a hobby. My grandmother was an excellent artist, sales of her oil pieces kept the family afloat in the 30s and 40s.

Previously, I had submitted a portrait that attempted to deal with full direct lighting. This portrait attempts to project three dimensional volume by utilizing light so that the face is half in shadow. This particular subject and approach is inspired by the paintings of Zhaoming Wu.
