I am a mature art student and I attend the local Greek art classes in Corfu. With the help of fellow art students and teachers I have progressed from knowing very little about painting and drawing to a good standard.

For as long as I can remember I have always had a love for drawing. However I never had the opportunity of any formal training. I have read books and tried different techniques by copying what the masters do.

Hi, my name is Ekene and I am currently an undergraduate at Wits University.

I’m studying Bcom law –a not so very artsy degree! I started drawing from a young age, probably six or seven and have only ever been self taught. I just dabbled y’know? I only started taking art seriously in 2014. I’ve spent a lot of money on art books, art materials and (excitingly!) bought my first easel during the December holidays. I come from a very academic family –so while the end product is appreciated, it’s difficult for my parents to understand why I practice ‘that drawing thing’.
