I have a BS degree in music Education and bass trombone performance from Jacksonville State University and studied Art at the University of Alabama where I was awarded a full tuition scholarship my first semester I had solo shows in the Gadsden Museum of Fine At and The Tuscaloosa Council of Fine Art gallery. I am a recovering stroke victim. I had a massive stroke that took away my entire left side I was a professional bass trombone player which ended.

I was also doing art as much as I could but as a result of my stroke I lost the ability to think on a higher level therefore I was at a loss about how to start. My son and wife kept trying to get me to paint and one day I started and a whole new world came back to me, I suddenly remembered color theory and even the names of the brushes.

I am a 16 year old girl, who has a great interest in art. I am a first girl of my village who is allowed to study in school.

I am interested in many artistic works such as writing, drawing, painting, sketching and poetry.

This year, I am going to publish my poetry books. I want to learn about art, specially about abstract art and painting.

The wife and I are retired and We both paint. We have a small studio just out of Dushore, PA.

I feel that every piece of art is a challenge weather it is a wildlife, still life, portrait, or even a landscape.

I would like have the support and advice to gain the confidence in myself and in the art I do.

From what I see the Drawing Academy might be the source for me.

I have recently retired from a 35-year career as a professor of Educational Psychology teaching and doing research in several universities across the United States. Before that, in my early 20’s, I had taken one life class and I did a number of portraits from photos and a few still life paintings. I found it to be a very fulfilling activity and several folks who have seen that work have been very complementary.

While I enjoyed painting as a hobby, I always felt that I could really do much more if I were to dedicate some serious time to painting and to communicating ideas and understanding through art. Having retired, I now have the time.

Hello everyone, first of all I apologize for the English because I speak Spanish. I introduce myself, my name is Alejandra and I grew up with a very young and widowed mother, so even though I loved every form of art ever since I was a child I had to think about work and I could not officially cultivate my passion that is art; occupies a central place in my life, I am self-taught, I have no artistic training, I love drawing and painting have always been for me the engine and at the same time an oasis, a relief for the soul.
