SURVIVING A FAMOUS NAME
My name was tacked on before Art Carney and that young actor made most strangers make what they think is a witty remark. For more than 20 years my name appeared over articles in newspapers in New Jersey and New York City, Now my name is on my watercolors, an effort I returned to after writing. Actually I began drawing and painting as a grammar-school kid, and continued as a cartoonist in high school and college papers. I began as a cartoonist at my first daily newspaper and switched to writing-editing when I found there was more money there.
