I have been drawing/painting for over 60 years. The one thing that has always driven me is the idea that there is something else to learn about art.
I have taken many courses in high school, college and in person classes from many types of artists. The goal has always been to better myself as an artist. I have always felt there is some much more to learn that would make my art better. Plus, as I paint a picture I have strived to tell a story. I want the viewer to look at my painting and see there own story.
Winning a free Drawing Academy course will only help me to continue on my road to being a better artist, to tell a better story. What the Academy has to offer will teach me to better understand the human figure and to draw/paint it in a more positive image. It will teach me how to better drape it in clothing. All of this will help me to continue and grow as an artist.
I would hope people will vote for me as they look at my submitted work. They can see where I am at with my work and recognize that through the Drawing Academy I will continue to progress and grow.
