Graceful Aura

Graceful Aura

Story and artwork from Asmi Basak

I am an art student and aspire to improve my skills. I had developed interest in realistic drawing from a very young age. I got guidance from my mother who is herself a good artist. Drawing is like an open window to me through which I could get some fresh air and plenty of joy. I like working with Charcoal and pencil shading, pencil colours , watercolour, and soft pastels. Art gives me immense pleasure as well as satisfaction.

My artistic challenges include arranging time for practicing skills admits the strict schedule of student life. I would like to learn more about Human anatomy and body proportions, face structure and proportions of the human face, perspective and watercolour techniques and how to improve in watercolour still-life.

My journey with watercolours is not very long one, I started using the medium almost 2 years back and have been practicing since. Yet, I feel there are a lot of faults and I would like to rectify them by practicing further.

Drawing Academy videos on the YouTube are extremely well detailed and very well explained. I loved the way they explained the human face ration and how to draw the different features. I have watched few videos on their YouTube site and have found then very good and helpful.

I found this website Drawing Academy very useful indeed in terms of the techniques they teach and am very eager on winning this competition as it would provide me the opportunity to learn even more from their full course. The full Course would really benefit me as I would be then able to see more of their videos.

I want people to vote me so that I could gain more knowledge about Drawing techniques and implement them in my work.

Thanks and Regards
