Hello Everyone!

I’m Antimoandrea Di Luise. I’ve been drawing since i have memory. I started oil painting 2 years ago and from the moment i started immediately fell in love with it.

I love everything about it: the smell of the oil, the movement of the brush on the canvas, the bright colors and the image unfolding right before my eyes.

I’m not really good now but my aim is to one day be able to paint just like renaissance artist such As Leonardo Da Vinci or Michelangelo. I’ve been training alone watching video online or using Pinterest for reference but i feel like I’m not making any progress. I’ve felt like this for months even if i constantly kept drawing and that’s when Life drawing academy found me. It had everything I wanted and my same aims as well so I had to give It a shot and join the competition!

The painting that I want you to see depicts me making my last move and holding the queen. That was my first time painting a dress and also the only painting I did that had both head and hand in It which is a lot for me. I tried to make something hard trying to exceed my limits.

I’m not the type of person that likes sharing his drawings but this time i had to If I wanted to get a chance to be better and also because while painting my decision to come here to the competition grew stronger and stronger.

I’m really motivated to reach my objective of drawing like the old masters and I will keep on striving to achieve just that.
