Mostly, I am a Painter, yet painting is like drawing, in its foundation. I suppose my level would be incredible potential. I have made drawings prior, yet after going through the Drawing Academy my drawings excelled. I learned principles of constructive drawing, tonal value, human proportions, perspective, and drawing techniques. Before the course, I almost exclusively painted and now I have knowledge to exclusively draw. I can excel now at both together or separate. After completing the Drawing Academy coursework, I can draw anything! It’s terrific! The clear instruction was awesome. I love how the Drawing Academy is based in traditional, classical methods. I enrolled because I wanted to be able to draw anything and everything. Additionally, the lifetime access to the lectures and demonstrations is a true plus.
I used graphite and charcoal pencil in this drawing. I have been drawing for a couple of years now. But I have not found my own style yet.
I love to draw and just want to get better as I learn. I draw for a hobby and took the Drawing Academy course to start from the beginning as if I don’t know anything. I keep my mind open to learn new things. I know this course is going to help me improve very much.
Hello,
I made these drawings of an apple and a walnut in my backyard this summer with graphite pencil on a rough paper. This is my first attempt to draw botanical artworks from life, after I studied Drawing Academy instructions in the related video lessons.
Hello,
I recently enrolled in the Drawing Academy course and I find it very useful.
Here’s my drawing in graphite of a classical bust.
For nine years since the passing of my dear beloved husband, I have suffered depression. That is until someone introduced me to art. At first, I took it as a source of comfort. Gradually, I found out the beauty of the world in a new way through a new medium.
I feel sensitive to my surroundings, and I am dedicated to improving my art world day by day. I feel joy, pain and every emotion in between throughout my work that fuels my creative drive.
I am 77 year old grandmother of 5, and a great-grandmother of 4. Born in Kentucky. Lived in Kansas, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, California and now in Branson Missouri. I have been an owner in the oil business, Wife and promoter of a Horse trainer, and a commercial actor. Robin A. Wiltshire. A real estate salesman in California, retired and now free to do what I desire, art, that is my desire.
The challenges I have in art are composition, scale, and creating my own style. I want create my own style. That is the main thing I would like to learn.
I have taken the Drawing Academy course a few years ago. This course taught me so much, I can’t begin to tell you all I learned from that course. So I do keep up with all you are offering now.
This is my first monochromatic painting, which was inspired by Anders Zorn. He was one of Sweden’s foremost artists (1806-1920). I always admired the magnum opuses of the old masters as well as Zorn. They are a continual source of inspiration.
Drawing (and painting) was, like in the case with many folks, my number one priority in childhood and it did not leave me. My art teacher wanted me to attend the academy. However, somehow I ended up with different careers. So when I finally came to my “senses” in the true sense, I found myself to be a rather poorly equipped in my knowledge of art craftsmanship.
I was very glad to have found both the Web Art Academy as well as the Drawing Academy.
The piece is an unfinished study idea dealing with our social stigma between beauty, age, and trying to keep youth. We struggle to be young and race against time.
I’m art college trained and have drawn and painted since I can remember…
