My name is Neil and I’m 45 years old. I never knew I would develop a passion for drawing, until I saw it through my daughter’s eyes. I have been a student of the Drawing Academy since December 2015. I was of course skeptical taking an online art course, but Academy tutors have keep me on course, consistently provided me support, and encouragement at what always seems to be the right moment…

It was founded in the 18th century and back then French, Italian and German teachers were coming there to teach art. Foreigners don’t teach in this Academy anymore, they study instead.
Few places in the world still teach fine arts the old way, where form is everything…

Feedback from James McCreary, Drawing Academy student
I signed up for the Drawing Academy about 2 weeks ago I guess. Then a bit later I watched the 12 Drawing Mistakes to Avoid.
I have to say to Vladimir that his words back then inspired me so much because I could sense his passion and somehow I knew that what He was saying and offering at the Drawing Academy was exactly what I longed for…

Every day we receive new comments from you, our readers, and really appreciate your feedback!
As promised in the Drawing Academy Survey, we awarded the full Academy Membership to one of our contributors.
And the winner is:
Pablo Ochoa
Here is what Pablo says:
My name is Pablo Ochoa, I am from Puebla, Mexico.
Since I was a child the drawing came first, I loved to draw in my notebooks. As I grew, critiques of my art made me feel like if I wasn’t good at it. So I quit drawing, and began practicing music.
After 8 years of abstinence of making drawings, I really wanted to draw again. One of my teachers in the class of Musical appreciation said: “When you study art, music, painting, dance, acting, you must not get married to the art you are doing, you must enroll in other arts because in that way, you can learn so many new things to complement your studies and become a better artist.” …
