The beginning of my art and my never ending story of it
My name is Olabode Ayomide Gideon,am from Nigeria.Have gotten passion for art since I was little but the dream of practicing and studying it fully came to pass the day I got admission to a university in my country.
The Drawing Academy is what taught me real drawing skills. Before enrolling, I was fairly good at copying photos but knew little about the fundamentals of drawing or which drawing advice to even trust. The course is very thorough, covering everything from how to hold and sharpen a pencil to perspective, human anatomy and more. Every lesson is based on constructive drawing principles, which are necessary for developing drawing skills and rarely taught elsewhere.

I have been drawing and painting since High school since the 1990s, I have always been passionate about art. My favorite artistic subjects are both the realism and naturalism type. My favorite historical artists are Rembrandt, Caravaggio, and Utamaro. I like to paint with oil medium and also to draw. My favorite themes are portraits from mythology, historical figures, and sceneries.
Nefitlabata is a Portuguese word for “dreamer, or someone who lives in their imagination”. I am autistic (high functioning) so this an apt a title as I can conjure.
Aside from the art aspect, I am a former drug addict turned athlete and am attending to school to secure a better future beyond construction. God blessed me with a gift I need to cultivate and grow the right way.
