Hi, my name is Meíssa.

My main challenges in art revolve around the absence of a teacher who can clearly explain certain subjects that are very complex, I have already taken some cheap courses that I could afford, but none of them left me satisfied as an apprentice. Much of what I learned came from reading and researching authors like Andrew Loomis, Betty Edwards, Harold Speed, James Gurney, and others.

I want to learn everything I can, from the fundamentals of lines, shapes, to imaginative drawing, to the magic of chiaroscuro. I want to be able to master as much of the drawing technique as I can so that I can express my dreams on paper.

The Drawing Academy is a dream to me. Unfortunately, where I live, there are not such solid institutions in the teaching of art and when they exist, they are for rich people. The Drawing Academy work is wonderful, the teachers impeccable and the initiative of a competition for new students brings hope to people like me who study alone.

I want to win this competition to improve my art to the maximum, looking forward mastering all the fundamentals of drawing and one day exhibit again in a museum and to be able to honor my work. I want to qualify to be a competent artist who makes a difference in my country.

People should vote for me because I’m very dedicated and I take things seriously. I will do my best to take advantage of this opportunity. Everything I conquered was with a lot of effort, I will never give up on learning art.
