A young boy in his late teens who is called Maxwell, nick named Dan and prefers to be called Maxwell Dan. Dan from the English word done, is an inspiration of determination in everything I focus on, should be done.
My discovery in my in depth love for art came about during much inconsistencies in life, life giving me lemons as at that time. I focused on the wind blowing against me and I was in much pain, to be frank.
I had the challenge within me to start appreciating the beauty of nature through art. I wasn’t born an artist and starting to appreciate art was much problem. I begun observing objects for hours but l saw only the object, just the object. My head ached, my heart was burdened, so confused, my art work discouraged me, so poor work l did.
Read articles on how to draw and there were much contradictions. A beginner left to grow in the world of art facing much problems. I was much inadequate in art tools, my drawings I hid, but the unfortunate ones people saw I was laughed at.This isn’t just an article to win a competition rather my pivot in life.
Through art I have learnt to appreciate nature, through art l have learnt to appreciate people in their differences through art my pain was a step to growth not a stumbling block. I have learnt to appreciate patience and growth in time. So I conclude with my definition of art I birthed; Art is a reflection of beauty which its language is understood by all, but the one whom observe and analyse it most ,appreciate it most.
Most challenges I have faced as an artist, beginner to be precise is much contradictions of articles I have read on arts are, am self taught and inefficiency in some art tools, d on’t know its functions at all.
My first encounter about Drawing Academy was on YouTube, the presentation was excellent and much precise, I learnt much and appreciated it most.
Reason why people should vote for me is I now love art and the best place to grow that love for art is Drawing Academy, I plead for the chance.
