Justyna GIza art

I was born in south of Poland. I graduated from the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow.

Working as paintings restorer I have been in close contact with the paintings of Old Masters and the way they create their paintings. I try to use this observation in my paintings but there are still so many secret in technology I can’t understand.

The greatest inspiration for me is the period of renaissance specially Flemish.

Art fulfill my life completely. I paint all days and dream about art at night. I’m very lucky I can live with my dream.

My challenges are all about technology of painting. I wish to know enough and use it in practice to improve my works.

I want to learn as much as I can of the painting method of the Old Masters. This is knowledge that they collect for ages of hard work. We should cultivate it, maybe find some new values to add to it and help it survive.

Drawing Academy looks like the best course of drawing. In those days we have so many information and lessons everywhere and it’s so difficult to find the best one. I’m happy to write that I think I found one.

I’m not good with drawing and I feel it very often when I paint. I really need to lean it. I know that many of old masters were saying that drawing is the most important to make an art.

I hope that thanks to Drawing Academy I can learn more and improve my skills, make painting that people will like and save Old Masters practice knowledge to survive.
