I started drawing and painting after I retired from my day job. After spending time and money on three courses at drawing at an university extra-mural program, I felt that I have not benefited as much as I deserved – and I have to make a decision. Either I give up drawing altogether, and look for something else to pass my time, or I should forget about learning from these paid teachers and do it on my own. As a result of deciding on self teaching, I purposely chose to learn human portraiture, simply because that I think that that genre of drawing would be the most challenging. My name is Luca Molnar and I’m a painter from Hungary. I completed my BA studies in Illustration and Graphic Design at the University of Hertfordshire 2 years ago. I was working as an illustrator for 6 years, however about a year ago I decided to leave the advertising world for good and I became a full time painter.
