Like everyone else in this world, I too am just trying to struggle through in this life. Well the only inspiration that keeps me moving on and on is My Art. Art is sacred to me. I have had some of the most personal moments because of art. I, Mario Pathaw was born into a Great Catholic family to Mrs. Rosa D. Pathaw and (L) Dr. Pascal Malngiang. Ever since I was a little boy my parents took me to the cathedral every Sundays, and this is how Art came into my life. Every day the Baroque Paintings of the Cathedral seems to talk to me. well they speak more than the sermons of the priests. To some I maybe considered an absent minded child but they don’t understand what I am feeling because they can’t see the Art through my eyes. Even to this very day, i would like to be alone and just stare at these paintings. They give me a peaceful state of mind. and every time I look at them, it feels like its the first time. They inspire me and that is why I love to make traditional art. I lost my father 1 year ago, and when I look back over the years, He was my Rock who encouraged me to follow my heart. He encouraged me to paint 15 paintings for a village church and to this day I am proud of that. Art is Sacred to me. Art is Divine and my LIFE :)
