My name is Zawar Ali Zahid. I'm 21, studying textile designing in Iqra University, Islamabad.

I have my main focus mainly on the shades. Its very much fascinating working with shades. Those tones from high to low and there effect of surprising the next person by converting the image to a hyper-realistic form. Shades are something that also merge within your life. I love working on graphite shades.

Most of my work is on human portraits. Imaginative characters and human figure drawings. The way an artist adds that movement that some kind of tick in the drawing that it comes to a real life object' that point is something that fascinates me. And I dig myself in that thing to complete it and bring out the that unique piece that no one have seen. Proportions are very important and the perspective....

Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, I never had too many opportunities other than in school to fully immerse myself within an art lesson. I was more or less left to venture into the wonderful world of the internet and learn through trial and experience on how to draw.

If you open my google page right at this moment, you will find unending searches on 'How to draw realistically' and countless YouTube tutorials already viewed over at least 10 times. I feel like as an artist, I've learned all I can through conventional art courses. And being where I live, there are few opportunities in my area to take many art classes suited to my skill and age group...

I'm a freelance artist located in Vienna, Austria. I'm interested in art since my teenage years but due to my lack of self-confidence back these days, I never dared to believe I could draw.

I never met one of my two grandmothers, they were dead before I was born. From one of them I own some of her drawings and paintings. She mastered both these forms of art and I thought, why not try it too. Although I never met her, I can now connect with her by knowing how it is to learn such a wonderful skill.

So I took a good book from Barrington Barber and began to seriously start learning to draw. Anyone who tries something new, knows that only persistence is the key to success. I made progress and had a lot of fun while drawing...
