I’m a freelance artist located in Vienna, Austria. I’m interested in art since my teenage years but due to my lack of self-confidence back these days, I never dared to believe I could draw.
I never met one of my two grandmothers, they were dead before I was born. From one of them I own some of her drawings and paintings. She mastered both these forms of art and I thought, why not try it too. Although I never met her, I can now connect with her by knowing how it is to learn such a wonderful skill.

Jumping from one profession to another, was a risky move. The risk gets bigger if you have a family to support, or you are already 40. But that’s the case for me. I never received any artistic training not even practiced on my own until September last year. I always enjoyed art but I never considered myself with enough “talent” to give it a try.
Just out of curiosity I looked into several links in internet and some books and I frequently saw the same agreement, drawing is just another skill that can be learnt. Knowing myself I might not be “talented” but surely I am stubborn enough to learn anything if it requires passion and practice and I have plenty of those..
Also since I started I noticed how drawing is now really important to me. When I draw I loose completely the sense of time and I am not able to explain clearly how does it make me feel.
