At 50, I received a precious gift of 6 art sessions. I had always been passionate about art, but I had never had an art class, even in school. Since then, I have given several hours a day to learning more about drawing and painting on the Internet. Being a missionary and a teacher, I spend my days living in Thailand and teaching refugees from Pakistan who have no opportunity to attend school. These students love to learn, and they share my enthusiasm about art. We use art in our classroom to enhance our learning. Winning the Drawing Academy course will allow me to learn in a systematic way and will allow me to pass on proper training to my students. Though I’m old, I’m new to drawing. Please vote for me. It’s obvious that I need a lot of help!

Claudia is a talented artist as well as being a gifted teacher! She enjoys learning anything new, but her first love is definitely art. She is always eager to share what she has learned which means that her art lessons would benefit not only her, but others as well. I know of no one more deserving of receiving this instruction.

I’ve seen a number of her drawings, and I would love to have one of them hanging on my wall!! I know she has a lot more to give to her students as she learns more about the arts.

Not only is Claudia a gifted artist, but she is such a wonderful teacher. The fact that she wants to become a better artist so she can use art to inspire Pakistani refugees is inspiring. You couldn’t award these lessons to a more beautiful and giving person.

I love Claudia’s work! This portrait has beautiful muted pastel tones and demonstrates her ability to capture attitude and a strong sense of character. The tight framing fosters an intimacy with the subject and proves Claudia to be a sensitive storyteller as well as a gifted painter. I look forward to seeing more!
