My name is Suann Li, and I have been in the United States for many years. My father once studied at the Soviet Union Diplomatic Academy for five years. When I was a child, I loved to look at the box of postcards he sent back from the Soviet Union to my mother. It was a thick stack of various paintings. In addition to the vast forests and beautiful cities, the magnificent palaces and various characters, there were also many classical oil paintings. At that time, China was still in the late period of the Cultural Revolution, and it was very depressed and heavy. These paintings opened up a vast, beautiful, and fascinating world in front of me that was different from the real world. I was too obsessed with it, it was too beautiful, too amazing, and it pulled my imagination to another place in the distant world. From then on, I fell in love with oil painting. So when I traveled around the world, especially in Europe, I always visited top art galleries.

A few years ago, leaders from all over the world gathered together to discuss globalization, and Putin the Great was the host. He once asked me to write about Russian artists. It was amazing. I read the introduction of Russian artists and admired them very much. I am a large system designer, making suggestions for globalization and providing top-level design concepts. But there are evil forces in the United States that constantly disrupt my life. In many depressions, I picked up a pen to turn my full vitality and yearning for beauty into paintings, hoping to express and depict the beauty of the world in paintings. Recently, I have seen the changes in the world, which are exactly what I imagined. Civilization is constantly progressing, and I feel very happy from the bottom of my heart.

I have only started painting for less than four years, and I feel that there is still a lot to learn. Compared with those abstract paintings, Chinese paintings, miniature paintings, etc., I think oil paintings are the most expressive. I prefer classical paintings. I know Russian oil paintings have very high position in the world together with other art form like music. I hope to win this competition, so I can learn better skill from teachers in you academy. Because I am full of enthusiasm for art and beauty.
