I come from Greece, a country rich in manners, customs, traditions and history.

From early childhood, I was fascinated with every stone and corner of the fatherland.

The daily hearings either at school when I was a kid either now that I am now in a fairly mature age were and are our history and traditions.
A country which over the centuries has been plagued by many conquerors occasionally but with boundless passion and adoration from the people to their homeland…

I paint under the name Aurora. She is the Goddess of Light and this name has multiple meanings; painting is playing with light and dark and the symbolic meaning is that I wish to bring light into the world through my works of beauty, color and spirit. All my works are oil on canvas. The images I paint are in the tradition of magical realism with lots of symbolism and the traditional techniques of the old masters. It is a direction in art in which an attempt is made to connect this reality to a higher reality, so hallucinatory images or dream effects occur. The imagery originate from my deep, intense feelings that want to be portrayed…
