Hello, my name is Alex and I love drawing and art in general.

I have always wanted to be a better artist and never knew why I couldn’t draw from imagination. I eventually gave up on art but decided to pick it up again about two years ago because I finally found the secret I never knew about. I found that to be better at art and to draw from imagination I not only had to practice daily, but I had to learn the basics. This included shapes, forms, value, perspective and all the other basics of drawing.

From childhood, I always had the bad habit of drawing from observation incorrectly. That is, I would begin my drawings from the outside in. I never knew that to do a great drawing a foundation such as measurements, proportions and the use of basic shapes to mold my drawings was the actual way to start a drawing…

I am enrolled in the Drawing Academy and Web Art Academy as well. I always wanted to paint, but realized my drawing skills were not strong enough to bring my visions to life.

Now that I am enrolled in the drawing course I can see that my drawing skills are improving and I can also see the affects of that in my painting, I always appreciate your feedback and critique!
