Well worn and feeling good

Well worn and feeling good

Artwork by Julia Jones

Hello. My name is Julia Jones. Drawing has been a necessary part of my life for as long as I’ve been alive! I started coping pictures from a small Hummel book at age six, and adding watercolors and oils to them in high school. I sold a few and it was full speed ahead! I love drawing everything I see, challenging me to capture a likeness while developing my own style. I love teaching others to do the same.

I was excited when I found the Drawing Academy! It is truly dedicated to teaching and expanding a persons drawing abilities and imagination!

I’ve submitted a charcoal pencil drawing of a pair of tennis shoes with tons of character. They were being worn by a young man who wore them while working on a shrimp boat in the Galveston bay several summers in a row, paying for his college tuition for a degree in art. These shoes have earned a vote for being ‘well worn and feeling good’!
