To Sketch and Paint like the Masters
Artwork by Damacio T Barbosa
I’ve been ‘arting’ for 20 years. I’m now retired and my wife and I help our daughter with our granddaughters. That in itself is a job in its own.
Art is a big part of my life in that it takes my mind away from the world’s challenges and noise. Although finding time to draw, paint, sketch, etc. is my biggest challenge since my family comes first. I built my own art studio and I do make time to create.
The thing I most want to learn in art is how to hone my skills in figure drawing like the masters. Sketching and painting like DaVinci, Michelangelo, Durer, et. al. is my goal.
I’ve never taken a course from the Drawing Academy, but would enjoy the opportunity.
I was actually 1 year away from graduating with a Illustration degree from Texas State University when my second grandson was born. However, my wife was overwhelmed with watching two boys (our first two of seven grandchildren) that I had to drop out to help my family.
It would be nice to learn from an instructor again. Maybe this is my chance.
