Walking in Dreams

I’ve been painting and drawing since I was very young. I’m passionate about the world around me and curious of it. I love the outdoors and hold a degree in wildlife management. However, my true passion is art. It’s the very air I breathe and an integral part of who I am. If unable to work on my art I feel as though I’m at full stop, but as long as I at least have a sketch pad and pencil the world seems more right, even in it’s darkest moments.

I challenge most with background details and always have, I like the foreground more I think. The foreground is the part that really hits you in the face, but I also love a paintings or drawings that contain, not necessarily fine detail but intriguing detail throughout the background as well. And scale can be tricky depending on the subject matter.

Learning is something I enjoy in general, but I feel there is always room to grow in every aspect of art. I like most learning new techniques and seeing how they fit into my style of art.

The Drawing Academy has very intuitive articles and fun classes on pretty much every topic you can imagine. I particularly like the various articles by artists from all forms of disciplines.

I would love to win the Drawing Academy course to better diversify myself and to build on the knowledge I already possess. To learn new techniques and refine my own techniques.

I want people to vote for my art, because they enjoy it. Because they are intrigued by it and find a wonder within the brush strokes. I enjoy making people wonder and smile when they see my work.
