Paying It Forward

I would like to work with underprivileged young adults who like to draw and paint, using their study and practice of art as a way to help plant in them a feeling of self worth and legitimacy.

If I win a Drawing Academy course, I would like to use your videos as a curriculum for a program of arts education that I can volunteer in offering to underserved areas in my community.

I have a BFA from the University of Southern Maine as well as attending the Great Masters program at Ingbretsons Studio of Drawing and Painting for four years in New Hampshire, USA. From what I have seen here online, the Drawing Academy embraces the traditions of a classical arts education that teaches real skills of master artists.

In reaching out to my community with the knowledge from your videos, I see an opportunity to raise young adults up. I am also sure that there is much that I can learn about my own technique, and would welcome this growth in my own work.

Winning a scholarship towards the above goals would be an exciting and challenging new direction for me. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to explore ways to make a small difference in the world.
