Portrait of a lady with a scarf from life. This was drawn in graphite HB pencil. The hair was darkened with graphite powder and detailed with an 8B pencil. The model is my wife in a 3/4 pose.
The scarf is from Venice Italy. Initially, the scarf was shadowed on the white background and the detail was erased in with a kneaded eraser and pen-held rubber eraser.
