Artwork and story from Genevieve

My name is Genevieve. This is a sketch of my son, who was born just last year. I’ve always wanted to start a family, and I have a loving husband to do so with me.

Second only to raising my son, art has a very high calling to me. It’s one of my deepest passions, and I strive for every opportunity I have to practice it. For the first few months after my son was born, it was difficult to balance taking care of him and keeping up with art, but since he’s gotten older, a bit more independent, and I’ve gotten the hang of taking care of him, balancing my life and my art has gotten easier.

One of the greater challenges I face in art is not always being able to portray details quite right, or draw things from certain perspectives. I especially have trouble with objects and backgrounds. Drawing people tends to be my strong suit.

What I’d like to learn in art, and the reason I’d like to win this course, is because I want to be able to bring the things in my imagination to life. I have so many different ideas for pieces and projects but no idea how to actually visualize them. I want to gain the ability to portray anything that the mind can conceive, and show the world my ideas.

Drawing Academy seems like a very prestigious and professional course. I delight at the idea of getting not just any art college education, but the best art college education you could get in the world for less than a fourth of the price you’d get a mediocre one in my home country, the U.S. I’ve been trying to save up money for a course on this website so I can get that kind of education.

I’m hoping people will vote for me because I want to develop my skills to where I can make beautiful and unique work that’ll move the hearts of those who look at it.

I want to win this Competition and I need your help!
