My name is Hannelie and I am a teacher at a home school centre and art tutor in my spare time. I live in South Africa and is privileged that I can share my talents with other people and teach them new art skills and enable them to use their art to channel their emotions positively. I love to see students grow and find themselves in their art as well as helping them find their unique style of artmaking. My favourite art medium is charcoal and graphite, but I also like to work with oil paint, pastels, pencils, acrylic and watercolour. I am also interested in learning different printing techniques. I grew up watching my grandmother paint and I believe that is where my love for art blossomed.
Through my art, I can honour and praise Christ the Creator who blessed me with my artistic talent. I want to celebrate the magnificence of creation through my art.
I strive to challenge myself to learn new art skills and techniques to enable me to express myself better through my art. I believe that by learning new techniques, my artwork can become more expressive and touch a bigger audience.
Drawing Academy’s content is of excellent quality. The instructors are exceptionally talented and professional. It would be an honour to be mentored by such talented artists.
I would like to win the course because it is important to learn new skills and methods from various artists, it will help me grow in my artmaking and enable me to communicate better through my art. It is also important to surround myself with other students and instructors and broaden my network of artists to keep me challenged and motivated.
