Hannah’s Art

Hannah’s Art

Artwork and story from Hannah Musial

My name is Hannah.

I do art most days, at least 20 hours a week, and I wish to do it for the rest of my life. I enjoy creating and I’m constantly striving to make better art and try new things.

My work is figurative and focuses on intimacy and sexuality. Art education is not what it used to be so University wasn’t for me.

Recently I’ve found myself drawn to traditional methods. I’m self taught and I draw from photos but I wish to develop my drawing skills further. The human figure has always inspired my work so I’d love to learn more about anatomy. As I’ve often struggled with proportions, I think having clear understanding of anatomy would help me overcome that.

I’ve recently come across the Drawing Academy YouTube channel and it’s inspired me to try drawing from life. I’m also intrigued to draw from imagination, it’s something I’ve never even considered but it would give me so much creative freedom. The course sounds like something that would help me improve my work. It sounds like an amazing opportunity to receive a traditional education which doesn’t seem to be available anywhere else.

I want my art to have depth and be more emotive and expressive, as recently I’ve felt stuck with relying on references. If I won this course, I feel that it’d be a starting point in a new chapter of my art. I don’t want to just copy photographs, I want my work to be unique and skilful.

I want to bring something new and I need the information to help me do that. If anyone enjoys my work already and wishes to support me and watch my art grow, then they should vote for me.

I want to win this Competition and I need your help!

We have a couple of Hannah’s pictures in our bedroom. They’re amazing & it’s a shame she doesn’t sell her artwork anymore as we know lots of people who’d be interested
