At the moment art is my main focus in life as I am currently studying full time. I have experienced a kind of isolation. And I am seeking other forms of community engagement and interaction online in order to feed my most positive habit, which is my daily art practice.

My main motivation for entering the competition is to be able to engage with the Drawing Academy community. in the hope that I can discuss the kinds of issues that come up through drawing, both technical and emotional with a wide range of people.

I speak a lot with my current instructor about the nature of vision. In a broad sense that it is dynamic and includes both foveal or focused vision as well as peripheral aspects. Both very important to make up a convincing image of the world around us or the word within a picture frame. like the relationship between figure and ground. I want to explore these ideas and many more, as extensively as I can. Both through technical drawing practice as well as other more peripheral aspects of my life. I am hoping that and extension of my artistic community can help me achieve this, can assist me on my artistic journey.
