Drawing in the old Russian way
Story and artwork from George Galcsik
Loving arts have always been part of my life. I truly believe, that drawing is the foundation of all visual arts and also is my passion. For more than 20 years I’ve seen so many remarkable and respectful artists’ video tutorials, but the thing is, I never ever drawn a single line. This year is different, I have started to draw intensively and I will work hard to be the artist I always wanted to be.
On my own learning journey I strictly force myself to draw only with ink, so I can’t erase my mistakes and I have to think twice before make anything. Despite the fact, that I usually have to restart my drawing several times, I really enjoy this type of drawing process because I can experience every unique moment. Your almost every line is about instant success or failure and that is a continuous and interesting challenge, at least for me. Immense happiness fills my heart if I can finish a drawing and also more or less I like that. Sadly, most of the time I can only see my lots of errors. I feel, I should definitely change that attitude sooner or later.
I haven not had a chance to receive any formal artistic education, but I have been studying drawing methods from free online videos, and luckily I found the Drawing Art Academy. In my opinion, this is the perfect website because of the invaluable knowledge from the old masters and in where for sure I can enhance my drawing skills, so learning with Drawing Art Academy would be an enormous gift to help me develop and grow my talents, if I have any at all.
I firmly believe in the constructive drawing approach, and I would like to learn the deep fundamental and advanced knowledge of the classical Russian Academic drawing method, in the proper way.
It will be a real blessing to win this course.
