A rose by any other name

My name is Amanda and at 30 years old I finally decided what is it I want to do for the rest of my life. I started taking Graphic Design classes online in August. Luckily I have a very supportive Husband and two young children that think it’s so cool that Mom goes to school on the computer.

I have loved art since as long as I can remember and have dragged my family into every art museum every vacation we ever had. I’ve taken every extra art class I could in school, but I know I need more to really feel good about my artwork.

I’ve only ever been taught line drawing, and I want to understand value more so I can at some point draw like it’s a photograph instead of something done in pencil.

The Drawing Academy seems like my perfect match because it can be done online, and they teach everything I want to know. I want to win this competition because I want to take my work to the next level personally and in my future career. I would love to one day have my work displayed in those museums I make my family go in. I think people should vote for me because I will take this very seriously and no matter how hard it might be at first I won’t give up on doing something for myself that I have always loved.
