Hey I’m Carla. I was born in Peru but started studying in the US since 3rd grade. Art is my life and always has been, I’ve only realized this recently after falling in the mental slump for two months. I made some important life decisions after that. I decided I wanted a career in art. Storyboard artist specifically. I find storytelling absolutely fascinating. Problem is I suck at everything, although this painting might be aight, but it did take me many hours, maybe 10. I want to learn how to paint humans. I’ve watched a lot of YouTube videos about it in the past, but they were mainly only about the face and I only actually started putting things to practice very recently. I think Drawing Academy is a very very good way for me to get better at art in general. If I want to achieve my dream then I need all the help I can get, and a lot of hours of practice off course. That is why I want to win the course. I think people should vote for me…I honestly can’t think of anything. You guys could like my painting and vote for me, or vote for me randomly just cuz, can’t stop you. I just hope that you guys do. I did put a lot of effort into this piece, plus I shed many tears as a cherry on top while painting to sparkle it up a bit. Long story. Anyways, I hope you’ll like it and are able to come up with your own interpretations to connect emotionally with the piece. I tried my best to transmit emotion.
