Hi, my name is Akash Dey. I am currently studying to be an artist. I graduated high school this year. I am drawing and painting each day, learning anatomy, studying the techniques of old masters, and also thinking about my own art journey. Art give meaning to my life. Any kind of creation gives meaning to our lives, but for me painting is the one. I love painting and drawing. I want to become a good artist, and being a good painter is a part of that aim.
I am currently struggling to learn anatomy as I don’t go to art school yet, and I don’t have any art teacher. The drawing academy courses will help me a lot. From anatomy, to composition of paintings, I want to learn all the things necessary to make a successful painting. I have images, I have visions of paintings I want to create. But I don’t have access to models, also my skills are not so high right now that I can imagine the lighting or the poses properly yet.
So the Drawing Academy course will help me a lot. I want to win, I want to show people my works. So, I also think that this is a good platform to show people what I can do right now. The drawing academy is carrying on the classical painting and drawing tradition which I personally really appreciate and a lot of budding artists like ma also do as well.
