New Career inspired by Grandma Moses
I am a retired, well almost, accountant, grandmother of 13, and have painted most of my adult life. I have had to leave it for lengthy periods of time when life got in the way. Now I have the freedom to pursue becoming an accomplished artist.
I dedicated this year of 2017 to honing my skills, not going to art shows or exhibits, except as a spectator, but only using my time for perfecting skills, style, and techniques. My time is spent oil painting, while also beginning to learn watercolor. I can see almost daily that the missing piece is my absence of drawing skills. I have some good books on learning to draw but, for me, tutorials and access to skilled teachers far surpass learning from a book alone. I would like your vote so I can pursue my art career and become an excellent versus a mediocre artist by adding drawing skills as the platform to accomplishing that.
