My new friend Ruby

I am a retired charity CEO who’s main hobbies are art and travelling. I love animals so I travel around the world, housesitting for other people and looking after their pets. I decided long ago that I would master watercolours before moving on to other mediums – I’m still with watercolours!

I love the way Drawing Academy is so approachable and encourages artists, no matter what their current level of ability.

I would love to win a Course – it would give me the courage to exhibit my work, which I’ve never yet done. Perhaps people voting for me will give me the confidence to believe my work is good enough to exhibit and (dare I say it) attract commissions.

The work I am submitting is of a beautiful dog called Ruby, who I looked after in gorgeous Scotland in the summer.
