Butterfly in Waiting
I’ve always wanted to be an artist. I was voted most artistic in high school and wanted to be a fashion illustrator, but life got in the way and I wasn’t able to go to art school as I had wished. I’ve taken classes and workshops here and there but could never devote much time to it as a single mother with most of the financial responsibility for my child. Now that I am retired, I feel this is my last chance to become an accomplished artist and draftsman. I need to build my skills again and it looks like the Drawing Academy courses would help me to do that. I feel like it’s now or never. I would love to have the opportunity to take these classes and develop my skills and fulfill my dream to be an excellent artist.
Most of the art classes I’ve taken have not been anything more than a chance to draw from a model. The feedback is minimal at best and often, instructors will draw or paint on your work. You forge ahead blindly never getting any really constructive instruction. This is where Drawing Academy stands out. There is specific instructions for drawing people, places and things. Once you have your foundation, you are free to create.
I am a creative artistic person that has never had a chance to fully express that gift and I really want to do that now. My biggest challenge, besides time, is the lack of skills. To draw well, you need to develop good hand to eye coordination. That comes from looking and drawing. Practice, practice, practice.
I’ve been told by really good painters that I am very talented and it’s just heartbreaking that I haven’t been able to pursue my career. Until now.
Now I have the time and the opportunity, so please vote for me to win this course.
Win!
