Jorge Padilla’s Art

Jorge Padilla’s Art

From Jorge Padilla, Drawing Academy Graduate My drawing skills’ level before I took this course was none. I had no training at all. I had the desire to learn how to paint and draw for a very long time, but this was only a dream, because I spend most of my time working in a foreign country (English is not my native tongue). Attending an art academy was not an option (no time, I just got in to my 50s, a family to support, etc…). First, I enrolled in the Web Art Academy and then took the Drawing Academy course as well. Finally, I was able to learn at home at my own time and speed. In addition, I learned English – very good deal, isn’t it ? Here, the language was not a barrier, because, the lessons are very…

Great Courses!!

Great Courses!!

By Norsky, Drawing Academy graduate

I have taken tons of courses online and in person and I can tell you that this was very structured and had a lot of tricks that helped me greatly to improve my artwork. I would tell others who are frustrated to sign up for this course and take to heart all that is offered here so you can become a professional.

I already have two orders for portraits and that is something since I couldn’t quite get the right likeness of the model but now I can nail it!

Thanks again I appreciate all you do!

Drawing Academy’s introduction to silverpoint is a new medium to me that I will continue to explore. I’ve worked in lithography and etching but never thought of drawing in metal point until seeing Vladimir’s video. Over the past 3 months I completed the silverpoint images and a graphite rendering. These drawing techniques take some time. I also continue to develop my skill with regard to perspective.

Although I’ve covered all the topics videoed in Drawing Academy in university, I wanted to refresh my view towards the basics of drawing. Construction and perspective are of interest and I spent insufficient time on that before now. Recently I decided to work representationally. I’m attracted to wildlife or animal portraits but also other genre that require specific perspective for accurate composition in…
