What Drawing Academy Students Say

Feedback from Denise Rispoli Becknell, Fine Artist & Photographer

Denise Rispoli Becknell

I started the Art Academy first as I was pursuing oil painting then discovered the Drawing Academy!

The Drawing Academy is a MUST for anyone interested in bettering their skills. It’s amazing, isn’t it?

I have seen my work vastly improve as a result of the Drawing Academy course!

FYI, I attended and graduated with honors from College in Commercial Art and realized when I started the Drawing Academy program that I had never even been taught the proper way to hold a pencil!

I spent hours in an Illustration class for months and months but learned more from the Drawing Academy in the first lesson than I learned in a two-year curriculum in college! The cost of my education was $14,000 – the money for the Drawing Academy is a fraction of that and worth 10 times more than my college education! It’s a lifetime of benefit and a priceless gift!

Learning the classical method of drawing

Feedback from Ray Grace (RayinOR)

Vladimir, I am extremely happy to have found your Drawing Academy. I am tremendously pleased with what I have learned in your Academy, as you are finally teaching me classical drawing, and that measuring, drawing, and values can all happen with a pencil, and do so excellently as well!

The impact on my artwork which has happened since joining the Drawing Academy has been huge, correcting more than 60 years of poor advice and methodology. Now that is something! I have you and your Drawing Academy to thank for it, and I do profusely thank you!

Please accept this long letter in the spirit of thank you which it is written. If I gain nothing more from the Drawing Academy, it has been worth many times its cost, having corrected several of my life-long dysfunctional drawing methodologies. And if my experiences so far can help another who is struggling with these things, I shall have been doubly repaid.

Sincerely,

Ray Grace (RayinOR)

Tina's Painting

tina-stonefield-ishiharaI wanted to say how much I am enjoying the course. I had studied fine art in New York in the early 70’s during a period here where everything was about expressing your feelings without
technique or basics which your course provides. I was very eager to learn so am mostly self taught.

Your course is a great comprehensive program reviewing things that I know and filling in places with things that are new to me.

Thanks so much, Vladimir, for this wonderful chance!

Tina

I don’t have any formal art training (apart from your courses – Drawing Academy and Web Art Academy), but I’m always drawn to the beautiful classical art of the old masters, and some modern masters like Vincent van Gogh. Like you, I believe that art should be beautiful.

I think you are doing GREAT work by making these classical training lessons available to people like me, who do not have the opportunity to be properly trained otherwise.

Best, Lucy Chen

Collayne Mills Silverpoint Drawing
Drawings in Silverpoint by Collayne Mills

Collayne Mills – Drawing Academy student

Here are my first ever, freshly minted silverpoint drawings. Drawing Academy is full of surprises. The Silverpoint package was one of them. Without seeing the fabulous silverpoint video in this course, I doubt the idea of drawing in silverpoint would have occurred to me. Although there are many treasures to be found in Drawing Academy, that one gem alone is worth the price of admission.

The 3 images [above] are drawn on TerraSkin (stone paper) – but of course I had to add my own prescription of ground.

Thank you very much for the instructions.

Best regards
Collayne Mills

Do you remember when you first began to learn solid drawing techniques?

Now imagine going 40 years just wishing you could draw, but believing that you just weren’t given the “gift” in that area. That’s how I feel, like a little kid. I get excited about every single thing I learn. What’s really amazing is that with only 4 months of drawing experience, I’ve been able to apply what I’ve learned, and I can see how it will impact not only my ability to learn the correct way to draw, but also my work.

Also, I didn’t realize the quality of the free books. I’m going to start trying to do studies of those drawings. I was having a little trouble coming up with something other than an arm or leg to try to render. Awesome stuff. I’m only upset with myself that I didn’t decide to sign up the first time I saw your site, as I would already have 4 months worth of work in with this wonderful tuition. I love the fact that your demonstrations start from white (or toned, but still blank) paper. Because of this, I can actually work along with them.

I stayed up until 7:00 this morning just working on rendering. Pretty much every single site with “drawing lessons” promotes the use of a stump / tortillion / tissue / chamois for blending graphite. Every single time I’ve tried those techniques my rendering looks like mud. Seeing the results I’ve already achieved, that information alone is worth the price of your tuition. The results I’ve achieved already in rendering individual strokes is way beyond anything I hoped for, for at least a few months of work.

I’ve tried a few other drawing tuition sites, and they were quite simply a colossal waste of my time and money.

Thank you so much again,
Sam Rupe

Dear Natalie Richy and Vladimir London,

I am very thankful for being able to be a part of your wonderful art program, I enjoyed every part of every single lesson. You have been great role models for me, you have taught me to be able to see the kind of passion you put in your art work, and I am more than willing to do this on my side with the skills and abilities you have shared with me. I would like very much to be able to keep in touch with you, and I look forward to meeting you in person one day. These classes were more than worth it, I learned more than I thought I could learn, thank you.

You have been some of the best teachers I’ve ever had.

Sincerely,
Jorge Padilla

It is with great joy I’ve enrolled in Drawing & Painting Academy. I have a particular fondness for Silverpoint. I must develop my drawing skills so I can indulge in that – actually I can’t wait to give it a go now and the drawing skills will just have to catch up.

It is with this, that I absolutely thank you, Vladimir and Natalie for your courses online to reach far and wide to anyone wanting training to enhance their creative expressions in a classical contemporary way. You are both exceptional artists but more important you are teachers (another talent). And you are both very kind – beyond recognition or financial gain (wonderful achievements) you are preserving artistic benchmarks that have fallen into disuse – there is hope they won’t be totally lost.

Much appreciation,
Collayne

I started drawing and painting later on in life simply for the love of what I found myself creating and also for the “zen” like peace it gives me.

I’m already a member of the painting lessons WebArtAcademy.com, and I have joined the drawing lessons as well. I cannot tell you how excited I am! I’ve taken lessons for years, however, I can tell that I will learn more from this than I have learned in recent years. I’m so happy I discovered your website. I can draw and I can paint and have many wonderful works, however, this level is at the professional level where I want to be.

So thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge and expertise.

Drawing Academy Course Review

If you, like me, have a passion for drawing and art, take the Drawing Academy course before they increase the price to where it should be.

The course leader, Vladimir London provided the most fascinating, exciting, and eye-opening learning experience I’ve ever had. I’m not a beginner, yet my art college experience is nowhere near what this Drawing Course delivers.

I had so many a-ha moments when we watched ‘how to draw’ videos. It’s the most I’ve learned since finishing my formal education.

In my opinion sharing knowledge is one of the most beautiful human noble virtues. There is no price for this!

    Hi,
Ever since I started watching the Drawing Academy course video lessons and taken the drawing advice of the tutors I was thrilled at the progress I made. I completely changed my artistic point of view. I never thought I could become so good at art. I still can’t get over all of the artistic progress that I’ve made in such a short amount of time by following along with the videos and take the advice of the tutors. It’s really paid off.
    Thank you!

Thank you for all the time you put in me. I know I am slow at learning but I have learned so much from you, and drawing is good for me. I didn’t know that a person could learn how to use a pencil in such a creative way until you got a hold of me. You are such a good teacher. I will always be great-full to you and the Academy for making my dream come true.
